Job Board Effectiveness up 44%

WEDDLE’s surveyed 15,600 working men and women between March 2007 and March 2008 and asked them where they expect to find their next job.  The top five sources they identified were:

  • An ad posted on an Internet job board (cited by 19.0% of respondents)
  • Posting their resume on a job board
  • Sending their resume into the company
  • A call from a headhunter
  • Networking at work.

The top five sources identified in the same survey a year earlier were:

  • An ad posted on an Internet job board (cited by 13.2% of respondents)
  • Posting a resume on a job board
  • Sending a resume into the company
  • A tip from a family member
  • A tip from a friend
