I believe the Hoover Dam Bypass will become to Las Vegas what the Golden Gate bridge has been to San Francisco.
Think about it:
- It is the largest span in the Western US.
- It provides un obstructed views of the Hoover Dam, the “Eighth Wonder of the World.”
- Millions will travel from all around the United States and World to visit this.
- Most will vacation in Las Vegas when they travel.
Now let’s look at what the bypass has done for the Las Vegas economy:
- 1200 construction jobs in Nevada
- 300 engineering jobs
- $240 million in development

I understand that the bridge will be constructed so as to block the view of the dam to prevent gawkers from stopping on the bridge and obstructing traffic. Anyone know the particulars regarding this?
