History
We have been Recruiting Nevada since 1993 when we began publishing the first employment specific newspaper in Nevada and one of the first of its’ kind in the United States. Within 3 years we established a weekly circulation of 58,000 copies being distributed to over 2,900 locations making it the best distributed free newspaper in Nevada at the time. We sold the newspaper in 1999 to Trader Advertising Media, co-owned by Cox and Landmark Communications, to focus our efforts on the growing Internet medium and our blossoming recruitment advertising agency.

We soon became the dominant recruitment advertising agency in Nevada and the largest advertiser in the daily newspapers while continuously educating our clients on the cost effectiveness of the Internet. In 2001 we were engaged by leaders of the healthcare industry to address and solve Nevada’s nursing shortage. Our solution (www.NVNurses.com) made such a profound impact on the industry, community and economy that we began duplicating it for other critical need areas such as education, technology and engineering.

In 2004, we divested ourselves of the advertising agency to focus all of our attention on solving Nevada’s critical workforce shortage areas from a supply-demand perspective. We proprietarily developed and deployed the technology that now powers the largest network of employment websites in Nevada.

In 2008 Recruiting Nevada was acquired by Greenspun Media Group, whose primary businesses include the newspaper and magazine publications, In Business Las Vegas, Las Vegas Home & Design, Las Vegas Magazine (LVM) and LVM2Go, Las Vegas Life magazine, Las Vegas Weekly, The Home News Community Newspapers of Nevada, Ralston Flash and VegasGolfer magazine. GMG is also the parent company of Niche Media Holdings LLC, publishers of luxury magazines, which include: Art Basel Miami Beach, Aspen Peak, Atlanta Peach, Bal Harbour, Boston Common, Capitol File, Florida Inside Out, Gotham, Hamptons, Los Angeles Confidential, Michigan Ave, Ocean Drive, Ocean Drive Espanol, Philadelphia Style, Style the magazine of the Venetian and Palazzo resorts, Trump, Vegas and Wynn. GMG is owned by the Greenspun family, which also publishes the Las Vegas Sun daily newspaper, owns the Web sites VEGAS.com and LasVegas.com; Vegas TV, KTUD TV 14, Las Vegas’ number one independent TV station and Las Vegas ONE, a partnership with KLAS TV-8 and Cox Communications on an all-news cable channel.

Today we work diligently on the frontline to strengthen Nevada’s economy by constantly recruiting new employees to Nevada through our network of employment websites. Recruiting Nevada will extend its network across many of Greenspun Media Groups publishing platforms, both print and online.

“The purpose of this note is to express my appreciation for the results you obtained to my request for a Certified Occupational Conservationist.  I had spent six months attempting to fill this position, with no response.  Within two weeks of placing the listing with NVJobSearch.com, a very qualified, experienced technician applied for the position.  After reviewing his application on your site an interview was scheduled and he was hired.  I am  very impressed with how quickly you enabled us to fill this position.”

“It has been my pleasure to be associated with Doug Geinzer of Recruiting Nevada since 2002.  I am grateful of our personal friendship and very impressed with Recruiting Nevada.  On numerous occasions I have recommended Doug to friends and colleagues as a resource for solving staffing problems, and will unhesitatingly continue to do so.  In every instance their requirements have been met, and in a very timely manner.  He has definitely introduced a new and innovative method of recruiting that is having a positive impact on health care staffing in Nevada.”

Charles Perry

“I have had the pleasure over the last 5 years to reap the rewards of the innovative and creative talents of Doug and his organization.  He has been the cornerstone of the development of, not only advertising, but strategic visions into avenues for conquering the nursing shortage in the State of Nevada.  Doug has been relentless in networking his ideas and building relationships with the entire state, for all members of the health care community to work together during this time in spite of what natural competitiveness exists within the organizations.”
